Her most well-known role is her performance as Willie Scott, an American nightclub singer and performer in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), which was directed by her eventual husband Steven Spielberg. She has starred in Dreamscape (1984), Power(1986), SpaceCamp(1986), Black Rain (1989), Love Affair (94), Just Cause (1995) and The Love Letter (1999). Capshaw, whose portraiture has been displayed in the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery Capshaw, was born Kathleen Sue Nail in Fort Worth Texas. She is the daughter of Beverley Sue Simon (nee Simon), a beautician and travel agent, as well as Edwin Leon Nail, an employee of the airline. [4] She was five years old when she relocated to St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from Hazelwood Senior High School. Capshaw received a degree in education at the University of Missouri, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi. She taught special education at Southern Boone High School, Ashland, Missouri, as in Rock Bridge High School, Columbia, Missouri.
